DEATH OF A SOLDIER

Shortly after 10 o'clock on Saturday morning Corporal Percy i ■ Sylvester Hobbs, who for some months past tart been in charge of the post oflico at Papawai Camp, was found dead on tlio floor of hie office with a pen-nfle between his knees and a bullet wound in his forehead. Corporal Hobbs was a native of Australia, 20 years of age, and before coming to New Zealand about two years ago was a wireless operator in the Commonwealth Navy. His body was interred m the Featherston Cemetery yesterday.
