INEFFICIENCY IN PUSHING THEM ON DELAY IN PROVIDING GUNS AND RIFLES Washington, December 14. Brigadier-General Crozior (Chief of Ordnanco), giving evidence before the Sonate Committee, Warned Mr. N. D. Baker (Secretary for War) for the delays in providing machino guns and rifles. America had manufactured 10,000 rifles daily for Britain, but for her own armies had changed the models, because it was decided that tho American troops /should go to French and not British sectors. Tho factories wero now producing less than 5000 rifles daily. Thirty thousand machino guns were needed, and none had yet boon delivered.
