SOLDIERS SENTENCED
TWO MEN GET TWO YEARS' SARD LABOUR, It is announced in Tronthain Camp orders Unit. 70.746 Private L. Foley, Trentham Details, found guilty by district court-mnrtial of disobeying h lawfill commnnd given by his superior officer, lias been sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for two years. 71,895 Private W. H. Hayden, Tren[ham Details, found guilty of disobeying a lawful command given by -liis superior officer, has been sentenced to imprisonment-with hard labour for two years. . . 62,361 Private P. Greenan, Trentham Details (late Thirty-first Reinforcements), found guilts of, when on active service, deserting His Majesty's Service, was sentenced to 84 days' detention. The sentence has heen mitigated so that if the accused embarks for active service outside of New Zealand before the expiration of his sentence, then on arrival at the overseas base of the unit to which he is posted the unexpired portion (if any) of hie sentence shall bo remitted 'and his records shall he' endorsed accordingly.
