CAILLAUX TO BE IMPEACHED FOR TREASON AMAZING INTRIGUES REVEALED

(llcc. December 13, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, December 12. A Dill lias been introduced in tho Clumber of Deputies impeaching M. Caillaux, who \vill ho indicted before a court-martial on a charge of treason.— Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [M. Caillaux was Premier of Franco at tho time of the dispute with Germany over the Agadir incident, ill connection with which his conduct was much criticised. His name has also been associated with the _ charges against M. Malvy, formerly Minister of the Interior, who has boon accused of handing to Germany plans for tho defence of tho Chemin des Dames. M. Caillaux was interested in the pacifist newspaper "Le Bonnet Rotigo."] Tho "Petit Journal" says that tho steps attributed to Caillaux in Homo have stirrod the Italian Government in the highest degree. Caillaux is accused of carrying on a campaign in favour of an agreement between Italy, Germany, and France against England and Russia. Representatives of tho latter Governments acquainted tlio Italian. Government with what was occurring.
