THE BALLOTS
EXHAUSTING CLASS A
Tho reservists remaining in Class A of tlio Second Division, between 3000 and '1000 in number, will bo called lip on bloc about the second week in January. It appears that they will not b& required to enter camp before June, and some of them will Do. later. Tlio date of the first ballot in Class 13 (married men with one child each) is still indefinite. The ballot almost cortainly will not take place in February or March. There are certain advantages about giving the reservists as much notice as possible, but on the other hand the recruiting authorities do not wish to have more names in band at. any one timo than is necessary. It is understood that- the pre- , sont intention is to allow an interval of not loss than two months after January before making the first caK of Class B. Tlio reduced rate of reinforcement and the absorption of th& Fourth Brigade may malso possible an oven longer interval.
