SWIMMING
The Wellington Amateur Swimming Club opened, the present season at To Aro Baths yesterday evening,, when tho first. distauco for the Lloyd Cup, 50yds., for junior members only, was decided.'- The club is devoting all its timo during the currency of the war to looking after the junior members, and some very promising swimmers should result from the club's efforts. The winners of each distance in tho Lloyd Cup wins, a trophy, and the competitor showing most points over the three distances holds the cup for twolvo months. .
