KELBURN SCHOOL
FURTHER EXTENSION NEEDED. The necessity of increasing the accommodation at the Kclburn School and the continuation of tlie upper classes were discussed at a meeting of parents held in the Training College on Friday night. Mr. Tait presided. It was urged in support of the continuation of the classes that it would bo for the boiififit of the young teachers in the Training College; and that every your there war. an increasing demand oh tho accommodation. Eventually, on the motion of Mr. Buck, seconded _by Mr. Donaldson, the following motion was adopted:—"That this meeting of FelImrn residents doplores the failure of tho Education Department to reeo'jniso tho constantly increasing demands of this district,' and respectfully, but strongly, calls on the Minister in charge of tho Department to make adequate and' immediate provision for our long overdue requirements." Another resolution was carried to tho effort that a select commiHco I'o formed with full power to make arrangements in connection with thf deputation which is to wait, on the Education Board. Messrs. U. Tafb, Waddoll. and Pono were elected as the committee to wait imon the Minister of Education (Hon. J. A. Hanan).
