Another of the delightful evenings for'seafarers was arranged by Mndnm'o Dempster on Tlnirsday night at the Sailors' Friend Society and Institute. Tho songs by Mrs. Good and thn Misses Clarke, Cunningham, G. Piclcthall, and M. do Clifford were all encored. The exhibition of ol ectr fcally-]igktcd club work by Miss R. Craiio was carried out with much taste and skill. Mr. L. E. Keisenberg presided :\t the piano. The competitions filled a bright part in tho programme ■ Mr. Mnoio, in moving the. voto. of thanks, said.Mir mission owed much to the Wellington residents for tho bright-evenings, that meant so much to men away from home. The motion was seconded by Captain Macfarlane, and carried with I cheers. ]
