THE ABOVE INQUIRY WASMADE BY The Minister of Defence (SIR JAMES ALLEN) . j ■ Brigadier-Geueral Richardson (Commandant N.Z/ Expeditionary Force, England) REPLIED- ■ Vide Wellington Evening Pod, 25th June, 1917
Wei I-known Taxi Proprietor praises his Studebaker Sin:—. Mr CW Sanders, Junr., of this City, is one of the best-known taxi-drivers in the Province. After six years' experience, during which he has owned four Wolseley cars, a biddeley-Deasey and a Clement-Bayard, his latest purchase is a Studebaker Six, and in the following letter he gives the reasons for his choice:— , ■ . ■ Messrs. Adams Ltd. ' Christohurch, Now Zealand Importers of Studebaker Motoru, ■' Oct. 25,1917. Christohuroh. Inre'ply to your inquiry as to -why I [selected a Studebaker Six as the beet oar on the market for hire service, 1 may ooy that in my judgment no other car on the market offers all the necessary featuros, suoli as absolute reliability, great strength and durability, economy of running cost, ease of driving, and so forth, at anything like the same price. After four months' experience of my Studebaker Six, I can honestly say that I am more than satisfied with my investment. The oar is thoroughly reliable, remarkably easy on tyres, and a champion on the hills. The seating accommodation ie ample, and the detachable and reversible front seats are a great convenience. The electric starting and lighting equipment. is splendid, and a very fine feature is that the car qan very easily oe kept clean. She is especially easy to drive, the balance with a full load being perfect. In a recent tour over the worst hill country of the Wellington district the car gave every satisfaction, completing a difficult journey without a flinglostop.' I wowd sooner drive a Studebaker, from the point of view of the comfort ot myself and passengers, than any high-grade English car of which I have had esperienoe.-Paithfully .
