This will enable nil the clubs to got off a minv her of their club competition games before the Christmas holidays, which, as a rule, interferes with them for at least a month, at the festive season of tlie year, fn tho meantime, rinks are already getting together for the Centra Tournament, which commences on all the greons this day three weeks. The weather of late has been very fine, and quite favourable to green preparation, and thore is every prospect that the holiday tournament will be a big success. Tt is hardly necessary to say that all moneys derived will he distributed patriotically by the centre. PUBLIC SEItVICE TOURNAMENT. The semi-final game between tho Post and Tolegraph Department and the Treasury was played on the Wellington Green on Tuesday evening, when the former Department was returned as the winner, after a hard-fought contest, by 22 points to 17. The final game to decide .the championship of the Fublio Service will be plaved between the Audit and Post and Telegraph Departments on the Thorndon Green next Saturday afternoon. A rink competition was held, seven heads, sudden death rule, the winning rink being: Young, Pntchard, Dowling and Fielding (s.) to whom handsome trophies were awarded. A ladies' bowling competition was also held, and proved very interesting, Mrs. D. Claridge winning first prize, and Mrs. Hain coming second. The sideshows and various styles of bowling created a lively interest, and proved a great success.
