MILITARY SERVICE BOARD
' YESTERDAY'S APPEALS.
The Third Wellington Military Service Board held a sitting yesterday. Mr. D. M. Findlay' presided, and with him were Messrs; A. O'L. Ooneidino and Mr. J. Mack. Captain P. Baldwin was the military.representative. The board~had no •recommendation to make in the case of Private William Oross, of" Trentham Camp, who applied for temporary exemption.. Leave without pay iwas granted tho following appellants:—John M. Batchelor, Thirty-fourth.Reinforcements, Feathereton (till April-30): Edgar Davenport, 2nd LieutenanV-Thirty-fifth Reinforcements, Trentham (till February); Harry-8.-.Murphy, flax expert and inventor, Waikanae, an appeal by the Department of Agriculture (for six months).'"'""
