THE WELLINGTON NORTH SEAT
Sir,—So far there is no vacancy m Wellington North, and I think all the agitation premature, and in very bad form; but if the noisy section who are trving' to discredit Mr. Luke think the electors of Wellington North arc to be misled by'their they will hnd themselves seriously mistaken, in" into account what he :ws dore since the war broke out, Hkjvs are thousands like myself who consider Mr. Luke has a stronger claim tn a seat in Parliament than any other citizen of Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Luke have been simply indefatigable in the interests of our soldiers. What' have his opponents done? Sir. Luke has three sons at the front; lie is British, and loyal to the backbone; he is one of ourselves, and does not pretend to be anything more than he is— a plain, blunt man, whom we can trust, and who will never go back on ns. I am, etc, VOTER.
