ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
SERIOUS MOTORINC ACCIDENT,
TWO MEN INJURED. By Telegraph - ■ Association.
Blenheim, December 1. There was a serious accident last night at Redwood Pass. A car proceeding to Seddon overturned on a steep bank, 50ft. in height. William Brown sustained a severe fracture of the base of the skull and a broken arm, as well as other injuries, and Frederick Greenfield a compound fracture oE the thigh, two others being slightly injured. Brown's condition is precarious. MOTOR-CYCLING FATALITY. Pahiatua, December 1. William Wallace Forsyth, 34 years of age, a dairy instructor, succumbed at the local hospital to injuries sustained through a motor-cycle accident while proceeding to Hukanui on Friday Inst. His' wife and family are living at Palmerston North. Deceased was a former manager of the Biverdale cheese factory, in Taranaki.
SUDDEN DEATH IN HOSPITAL. Dunedln, December 2. A married woman, named Devina Ferguson, 37 years of age, died suddenly in the hospital yesterday afternoon. She had been a patient in the institution for some time. It is understood that an operation was about to he performed.
FOUND DEAD IN THE CITY. 'Sliortiv after 5 a.m. yesterday the body of Michael Driscoll, an unmarried waterside worker, aged about fortyfive years, was found lving on a footpath in Harris Street. The police were informed, and Dr. \oung was soon in attendance, but could onlv pronounce life extinct. It appeared that Driscoll had not long been dead, and it is assumed that he had an apoplectic fit. The body was removed to the morgue, and an inquest has been ordered for this afternoon.
