PRACTICALLY ENDED. (Rec. November 30, 8.20 p.m.) London, November 29. A special correspondent at Ndanda states that the British are still in contact with General von Lettow's force, but General van der Venter has cut off von Lettow's chance of doubling back to tho coast. Ho is now faced with a hopeless position and daily diminishing numbers, with no military object except marauding raids. For all practical purposes the campaign ended with Colonel Tafel's surrender. The colony to-day is in British occupation. Tho correspondent considers that another campaign in order to clear the few German elements surviving the rainy season in indefensible blockhouses will do all that is necessary— Reuter.
