Clemenceau, the French Prfc mier, addressing the Inter-Allied Conference, declared: "The Allies must win on the battlefield a right to a. real peace for humanity. Hence all are agreed to the sacrifices demanded by the Allied command, which no intrigue or weakness shall ever shake; Wo must translate our high passions, into acts. Let our motto be: 'Let us work.' " The conference afterwards divided into sections representing finance, imports, transport, armaments, munitions, aviation, foodstuffs, and blockade.—Renter. INTER-ALLIED GENERALISSIMO !
