NOMINATION OF OFFICERS,
The following nominations have been received by the head office of the led-* crated Seamen's Union of New Zealand for officers iu tho various "locals": — Dunedin.—President, Mr. W. Brown; vice- presidents, Mr. J. Gilmour and Mr. J. Campbell; treasurer, Mr. b. Gordon (all elected unopposed); secretary, Mr. W. Clarke and Mr. I'. C. Smith (a ballot to bo taken). Wellington.— President, Mr. J. H. Adams; vice-presidents, Mr. D. Guirio and Mr. H. Richards; treasurer, Mr J Cashman; assistant secretary, Mr. l'\ Howell; secretary, Mr. W. 'J'. Young; councillors, Mr. J. Shepherd, Mr. G. T. Nation, and Mr. J. Raglan (all elected unopposed). The head ofiice regrets losing tho services of Mr. U. Donovan, who has held-office for the last sixteen years. Auckland.—President, Mr. S. Millbank and Mr» Robert Bourne (a. ballot to be taken); vice-presidents, Mr. Robert M'Dowell and Mr. Thomas Sullivan (elected unopposed); treasurer, no nomination received; assistant secretary, Mr. t<. P. Marchant (elected unopposed); secretary, Messrs. Thomas ¥. Anderson and James Jack (a ballot to be taken); councillors, Messrs. Samuel Millbank, Robert M'Dowell, Robert Bourne, and James Jack (a ballot to be taken). Auckland regrets losing the services of Mr. J. Coleman, who liad been treasurer of ,the branch for nineteen years. The ballots aro now beiug hfild, and will close on the third Monday in January, 1918,
