(Rec. November 27, 8.55 p.m.) Sydney, November •27. The States drink bill discloses a reduction of 6s. 9d. per head of tho peculation, as compared with tho previous year. Tho correlative influence of the reduction in the consumption of intoxicants is also (shown in tho Police Court returns. In 1915 there were 32,467 convictions for' drunkenness; in 1916 the convictions numbered 21,322. —Press Assn.
