ASSESSMENT OP FUNDS. Br Tolcgraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 27. At the Presbyterian Assembly the Rev. Mr. Cameron said that the Theological College Fund had gone back £105 during the year. It was decided to enjoin congregations to make an annual collection for tho fund, any defaulters to he asked for an explanation. It was decided that £1000 be voted from the Fraser bequest to tho Auckland Presbyterian Social Service Association.
The assembly decided to charge 6 per cent, on tho income of all funds for tho assembly fund, with the exception of income from funds derived from debentures and scholarship funds; that the income from bucli institutions as orphanages which passed through tho treasurer's hands, but for the disbursement of which ho was not responsible, be assessed at 2£ per cent., and that the substantial sum in the Otaco Patriotic and Relief Funds and the sites and building funds bo exempt from assessment.
Tho assembly decided to appoint a, committee to consult with the treasurer and guide him when advico was recommittee taking financial responsibility. A commission of the assembly was set up to deal with matters submitted to it bv the church property trustees and all matters arising out of ths trensureship. The Revs. Cameron and Comrie, Messrs. Gow and Roso were appointed to the church property trustees.
