Mesys. Dalgety and Co. report:-At our Wanganui sale on Wednesday we had a fair entry of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle. Sheep Sold well, but cattle" were hard to quit. We Quote:—Fat ewes and wethers in the wool, 405.; shorn fat ewes, 305.; mediam two-tooth shorn ewes, 26a.; medium two-tooth wethers, 245. Id.: threeyear empty heifers, £9 95.; small threeyear steers, £10 125.; two-year steeiß, £7 12s. 6d. to £9 7s. 6d.; fat cows, Jl2 lis * potter bulls. £13 2n. 6d.; yearling heifers, £4 14s. to £5 14s. At Waverley on Friday, we had a small yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Competition for sheep and young cattle was inclined to drag, but fat and forward cows and grown helferß were in good demand. We quote;—Sii-tooth to f.f.m. wethers, 30s. 6d.; forward woolly hoggets, 355. 9d. ; fat and forward cows, £11 6s. and £12 3s. 6d,j store COWB. £8 2s. id. to £9; p.b. PA. fifteen-month heifers, £9: yearling heifers, £4 14b. to £5 75.; cull yearling steers, £3 12s. •
