UNION OBJECTED TO

IN SOFT GOODS TRADE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, November 26. At the sitting of the Conciliation Council a petition signed by 682 employees was presented, objecting to tile formation of a union in the soft goods trade, it being claimed that the union did not pronerly represent, the interests of the trade. Mr. Giles (Conciliation Commissioner) said the dispute was properly entered and ho could not accent the petition. The employers' representative agreed with the Commissioner's ruling, adding that the dispute must go to the Arbitration Court. The Commissioner intimated that he would state a case for the Arbitration Court, In the meantime, evidence will he taken, at the request of the union.
