FATE OF GUYNEMER.

Major Brocard, commander of the "Storks," tho squadrilla to which Captain Guynemcr belonged, in a statement to the "Matin," says that the last fight of the great French aviator took place some four or five miles inside the German lines, north-east of Ypres and opposito the British lines. Captain Guynemer was accompanied by Lieutenant Bozon Verduraz, who says that thoy were flying at a height of 15,000 feet when Guyhemcr sighted an enemy two-seater, which ho attacked immediately. Almost at tho same moment Verduraz saw four German monoplanes approaching at full speed. Ho turned towards them instantly, so as to draw thorn off. Thev circled lound and round for a while, and then disappeared. Verduraz then returned to tho place whore ho had left Guynemer encaged with the German biplane, but had vanished completely. This is all that is absolutely known'of Guynomer's fate, and exhaustive in-quiries-have failed te add any information. All that can bo said officially is that Captain Guynemer is "missing."
