A CHARGE OF SEDITION
DUTCHMAN GETS SIX MONTHS' ■ IMPRISONMENT. In tho Magistrate's Court on Saturday John Pictcrje, a Dutchman, was accused of uttering sedition as follows:—"The Kaiser will win this war! Good luck t$ tho Kaiserl" _ , Harry Harding, an electrician, who stays at tho Metropolitan Hotel, stated that on tho evening of November 22 he was in the private bar of the hotel discussing the war, when Pieterjo intruded; and said: "Tho Kaiser will win this war."
Alfred King, a baker, said lie; too, was in tho hotel, and lio heard a "foreign voice" say: '-'Good luck to tho Kaiser!" Constablo 0. Murphy, who was called in to arrest Pictcrje, stated that, accused showed signs of having had some liquor. Pieterjo said that he did not use tho words; that someone else did. _ Ho, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
