Y.M.CA. CAMP WORK.
Tho following letter was forwarded recently from Awapuni Military Camp to Mr. E. C. Brownell, general national secretary of tho Y.M.C.A., Baker's Building, Wellington:— <igj rj —Wβ, the undersigned members of the 31st Reinforcement of tho Medical Corps, wish to convey to your committee our great appreciation of the services rendered by. your association to us during our period of training at Awapuni. Wo are especially desirous of paying tribute- to the work of your representative, Mr. H. E. Grainger, and heartily testify to tho excellent comradeship tuat prevailed between us. His many personal efforts for our benefit arid pleasure have greatly impressed us, ami we congratulate your association upon securing such an efficient officer. We carry with us very pleasant recollections of the inspiring addresses and enjoyable song services arranged from time to time. Mr. Grainger has shared our amusoment and visited us when in hospital, which meaut a four miles journey each way. Hβ has accompanied us upon the march, and at all times been willing and prepared to give any advice sought. Wo feel it incumbent upon us to so express ourselves, and we leave the shores of the Dominion hoping that the future will brine us into similar contact with your work and workers, and wish you every succoss." . The letter bore the signatures of Serp.eant Noel Carless, Lance-Sergeant L. Booker, and 31 privates.
