Tho licensee of tho Mnrquis of Normanby Hotel in Carterton to-day was fined 20s. and costs for rccoivine an order for liquor to bo taken into a No- | License district without notifying the Court. A Chinaman was fined 10s. and costs in tho Magistrate's. Court to-dav for soiling fruit on Sunday. The cold snap of the last few days has caused mortality among newlyshorn lambs.
