CHARGE OF ATTEMPTING TO KILL
ALLEGATION AGAINST A WIFE.
B7 Teloeraph-Press Association. Palmerston North, November 22. A man named Alfred Coy, residing at ■Ada Street with his wife, arrived at the police station last night, and alleged that his wife had shot him in the chock. It appears that Coy had been to the Ashhurst races, and arrived home shortly after 9 o'clock. His wife met him on the footpath, and words wero exchanged. Coy alleges that his wife Rred at him witli a revolver, and inflated a wound.
Martha Coy appeared at the Police Court this morning on n. charge of attempting to kill her husband. On the implication of the police, she was remanded to November 29. Tho question of bail was deferred.
