Dalgety and Co., Ltd., PalmerSton north, report having a small cntrv of sheep and cattle at their Marton sale Oil Monday, which sold as below :-6heep: Alucd-aged shorn ewes with lambs, 27s id- Cattle: Mixed yearlings, £6 4a.; slags, £9; empty store cows, £6 55. ; bulls, £5light fat cows, £11 Bs. 6d. .
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at, their Levin Yards on Tuesday they offered a small entry of Bheep and a good yarding of cattle to a small attendance of buyers. Quotations:—Prime fat woolly hoggets, 465.; good-condition shorn ewes, 245. 4d.; shorn wether hoggets (small), 245.: fat cows, £10 4s. 'to £12 55.; forwardcondition cows, £9 12s. 6d.; store cows, £7 2s. 6d. to £7 65.; two-year empty heifers, £6 ss. to £7; oighteen-month steors, £8 7s. 6d.; small mixed-sex weaners, 315.; yearling Jersey bull, £5. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Himatangi on Monday we had a good yarding of both Bheep and cattle. In sympathy with 'other markets, priccs for all classes were slightly easier and several good lines failed to make .vendor's reserves. Quotations: Fair mixed hoggets, 255.; good mixed hoggets, 255.; good ewe hoggets, 345.' 6d.; fat ewes, 365.; store ewes, 17s. 6d.; discoloured yearling steers, £5 5b.; good forward cows, £10 65.; fat cows, £11 55.; heifers with calves, £6 10s.; springing heifers, £10 to £12 10s.; guaranteed dairy cows, £10 '15s. to £14 2s. 6d.; eighteenmonth bulls, £6 to £12 10s.
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report.:—At Pahiatua, on Tuesday, we had a small entry of sheep and a fair ope of cattle, which wo submitted to a fair attendance of buyers. Competition was not very animated, but a good clearance'was made es follows:— Shorn • four-tooth wethers, 275. 4d. ; forward empty cows, £12 55.; medium do.. £9 ss. i aged cows, £4; yearling bulls, £3 ss. to £4 2a. 6d.
The Wairarapa Farmers' Cooperative Association, , Ltd., stock department, report on their weekly Pahiatua sale held in the Farmers' Yards on Tuesday, as follows:—A jyedium entry of sheep and a small yarding of rattle was offered to a poor attendanoe of buyers. Competition vaß very dull at. auction, and the bulk of our yarding failing to reaoh owners' reserves was passed in. Only two pens of sheep were disposed of as follows!— 27 rough two-tooths in wool, 2ls. 5d.; 63 f.m. ewes mid lambs. 325. 9d.; one three-year Holstein bull, £7,
