STATE CONTROL OF SHIPS
BRITAIN'S NEW SCHEME. London, November 20. Tho Ministry of Shipping has addressed a letter to all shipowners oxplaining the new scheme for the control of merchant tonnage. Tho letter requisitions all liners affected by tho schemo, and asks for an assurance that owners will continue to manage vessels so requisitioned. If tho owners are unable to do so, alternative arrangements will bo made.—Aus.-N.Z. Caole Assn.
