SHORTAGE OF SHEARERS
NEIGHBOUES TILL TEE GAR (By Telesrauh— Special Correspondent.) Masterton November 20. As showing that the work of shearing may be carried out by settlers and oldtime shearers, it may be mentioned that a few days ago, when roll was called on a Cajtlepoint station, only two shearers responded, but in a few hours over a dozen neighbours, all of whom have a knowledge of shearing, had filled the boards, and work! has been proceeding merrily ever since. times are too keen for cheese factory managers to make U6s of any but the most efficient methods. No cheese vat carries off tho whey so quickly and tlioroughly as the "Victor"—the vat with sloping bottom and middle drainage. Ordor early—steel is short. A' J. Parton, Sheet Metal and Plumbing Works, Pembroko Street, Carterton.—Advt.
