Waikaro K.iraitiana, a Native of Hastings, has filed a petition in bankruptcy, the statement of affairs showing liabilities .£17,554 and aseete J121,888, leaung an appnrent surplus of over MOO. In his personal statement the bankrupt 6tates that he filed at the. suggestion of some of his creditors. The amount owing to unsecured creditors, who are mostly of Hastings, is ,£l6lO, and that'to secured creditors is .£11,914. while (he bankrupt, lias property valued at .E20.400.
