fly Telegraph—Press Association. Dunodin, November 20. Private Thomas Heffernnn, of Sontl Duncdin. died in tho Hospital this afternoon. Ho left the Dominion with the Southland section of run Twenty-second ■Reinforcements, and fiaw service in France. On tho evo of Iho Mepsines battle ho had n severe attack of bronchitis, and after spending some time in hospital in England and Franco returned to New Zealand about two months ago. About a fortnight ago ho had to eo into the Hospital, whore he died under an operation for nn internal complaint. Deceased was 35 years old.
