BAKER'S CART COLLIDES WITH TRITTT.

Christchurch, November 10. An accident occurred at Bell's Crossing, near Rangiora, this morning, w baker's cart colliding with a train. A youth, Clifford Earnsliaw, the driver of the cart, had his right leg and lott arnv broken, and also suffered injuries to bu face. RETURNED SOLDIER SERIOUSLY INJURED. Auckland,' November 19.^ A discharged soldier named James S. Jackson, who returned from the war » few weoks ago, fell off the platform of a trumcar on Saturday night, and rolled under one of the wheels. The car had to be lifted before he could bo released. He was conveyed to the Hospital, wborfe hifi left leg was amputated at the thigh. Jackson sustained other injuries, and believed to be also injured internally. Previous to enlisting ho was employea as (i seaman in the intercolonial trade. FATAL SHOOTING ACCIDENT". Waipawa, November 10. William Beero, aped 17, was killed while out shooting. When getting through a fence his gun caught in the wires ana discharged, inflicting fatal injuries. MINER INJURED BY FALL OF COAL. Greymouth, November 19. A miner named H. Leakman was injured to-day by falling coal when he wns working in the Reiranui State Mine. He was immediately removed to his home, where it was found that he had sustained injuries to his back and had sprained an ankle.
