MASTERTON NOTES
A cricket match between a Jlasterton team and a team from the Featherslon military camp, played hero on Saturday, was won by the former. Excellent entries have been received for the Masterton Horticultural Society 5 rose and sweet pea show which is to take place on Wednesday. Through a wool-press falling upon him, a man named Frank Young suffered a fracture of the leg, and was admitted to the local hospital. Shearing operations ore now well advanced,in the TVairarapa district. The clip is heavier than last year, owing to thcl'o being more grease in the wool. MoniTJers of the Lady Liverpool Committteo are preparing parcels of scarves, socks, eto., to be sent to the Wairarnpa hutment in Franoe.
