Danish frontier reports state thatthora was a violent cannonade this morning in the North Sea, westward of Manoo Island. It lasted four hours and was punctuated by heavy explosions. It is believed that a largo number'of Baltic warships have been engaged, several of which have been seen.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
