GERMAN SECRET PEACE CONFERENCE
SITTING AT BERNE. Berne, November 1.1. Herr Erzberger's pacifist conference lias begun its secret sittings. The delegates include Dr. Dernburg, Count Kαrolyi, and a number of German Catholic bishops. It is noteworthy that no delepates from the Allies aro present, the delegates being Austrians, Germans, Turks, and pro-German Swiss.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Herr Erzberger is the leader of the German Centre (Catholic) Party. Dr. Dernburg is an ex-Minister f,or German Colonies, and was practically deported from the United States in 1915, whero he was notorious for his leadership of 'the German propaganda organisation. Count Karolyi is the leader of the Clerical Party in Hungary.]
