Webb has definitely announced himself as a candidate for the Grey seat. Speaking at the Opera House last night, Mr. "Webb said he stood as an avowed enemy of tho Government, whom he invited to come to the electorate snd help vote him out. Ho hoped the election would not be conducted on tho "Win-the-War" cry, but as a test of the approval or otherwise of the National Government's policy—tho cost of living and tho war measures particularly.
