As the Pateena is duo for overhaul she will op Wednesday next bo withdrawn from the Wcllington-Picton-Nelson service and tho Mapourika will maintain the service, sailing on Wednesday at noon instead, of at 12.45 p.m., tho usual sailing time of the Pateena. The Pateena will bo on tho run for a week, and consequently the sairmg of the Mapourika on November 20 for the West Coast will bo abandoned. The next sailing of tho vcsßel for tho West Coast win be on Tuesday November 27. '
KAHTI FROM LYTTELTON. Messrs.'M'Arthur, Jcllriea and Co. local agents, advise that the Karu will arrive to-day from Lyttelton. She hag a cargo of produco and 90,000 feet of timber to dischargo Rt Miramar. The vessel will sail to-morrow for a port which has not vet been decided on. BLACKBALL COLLIERS. The Blackball Coal Company's three colliers will be here within a. few daye from Groymouth. The NEaknta will sail at noon to-day for Greymouth, leaving tlicro on Saturday for Wellington. • * The Ngahota will sail from Greymouth to-day with a full load of coal for Wellington. Sho is due hero on Friday morning, and after discharge will go on the Blip for cleaning and painting and minor repairs. Bho ehould leave here aliout Wednesday for Greymouth. The Kgatoro will leave Greymonth .on Monday night with a cargo of coal for Wellington. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain J. Reid, extra officer on a Union Company's steamer, hae come ashore Mr. E. K. The balance is for Now Plymouth, and after receiving general cargo for that port elie will Eail in the (veiling. Tho To Anau will call at Wellington this morning for bunker coal. She is bound from Dunedin and Oamaru for Napier, Glsborne, and Auckland. The Cygnet will sail from Lyttclton for Kaikoura to-day. From Kaikoura she wfll 'proceed to Wellington to load a cargo of butter and cheese boies for the Peninsula. She is due here to-inorrow night, and will sail for tho south on Friday. The Hinemoa will sail <it t> o'clock ttfiis morning with stores for tho Cook Strait llghtEoiiees. On her return to Wellington she will leavo for the lighthouses in the south. Tho John sailed yesterday afternoon for Wanganui. From that. port, she will go to Kaipara to load timber for Lyttelton. Tho Maori will be docked at Lyttelton on Tuesday, and on that account will not take oiirgo from Wellington on Monday. She will sail in the evening as is usual. The Baden Powell sailed laet night fot Wanganni and Pnten. The Huia will Bail to-day for New Plymouth. Tho Kanio left Wellington last night fo( Westport to load for Dunedin. Tho Kakapo, from Greymouth, and the Karamu, from Wcetport, are due here either to-night or to-morrow morning. Both vessels havo full uargtaes of coal for this port.. The Komata will leavo Wellington to-day for Weatport to load coal for this port The Himitangi arrived yesterday from Chatham Islands and Lyttelton. and will sail at noon to-day direct for Pitt Island to load sheep for Lyttelton. The Alexander is due here on Friday from Wanganui, and will nail tho same day for Nelson and West Const ports.
