The mine manager reports, under date November 9, that during the week the following work has been in progress :—Th» drive on the reef north of the main orosscut was advanced 13ft. The reef is wider than the drive, but is not carrying much mineral. Two stopes are going on the mam reef in the south end. ' In No. a stope the reef is 4ft. wide, composed of pug and gritty quartz. In No. 3 stone the reef is 7ft. wide and heavily mineralised. One stope is going on the E.% reef. The quartz is 15in. wide and good value. The monthly return, which came to hand last week, was as follows:—6oS tons of ore realised bullion £325; concentration, gold and silver. £525; lead, £90; total, AUCTION SALE OP FKEEHOLD FARM. Messrs. O. L. Duigan and Company, of Wanganui, have been instructed jy the Public Trustee, as administrator m the estate of Christina Higgie, deceased, to sell by public auotion on Wednesday, December 5. at 2.30 p.m., a choice freehold i'arm, 'comprising 413 acres, situated on the No. 2 Line, about W miles from Wanganui. The property is'nearly all lever end ploughable, fenced and subdivided. There are two good dwellings, with necessary buildings. It has an extensive Toad frontage, and would cut up well. The soil ie first-class. Very easy terms are offered. Full particulars may bo obtained on application to tho Public Trust Office, or the auctioneers.
