Tho songs have o be both sung and acted, in proper welunie, and with appropriate scenery, or I at lenet a background scene. A singer may stand at the wings, whilo performers act the song in dumb show. But the, , actors ought to do the singing also. Such . a novel entertainment, employing so' many performers from all parts of the Dominion, should prove a great draw,' and at prices of admission for the final' competition ranging from one guinea to five shillings, should bring in a handsome addition lo the fund. A day should be fixed early for' tho final competition, eiiy, during the 6econd week in December, or during the Christmne and New Tear • holidays.
