VOLUNTARY RATIONS IN BRITAIN
■■ NEW SCALE ANNOUNCED. London, November 12. The Director of .Food Economy (Sir Arthur Yapp), speaking at Manchester on Monday, announced & now scale of voluntary rations, gradeii according to occupation and sex. Tko scalo allows Sib. of bread per week to men and s}b. to vomen engaged in heavy industrial or agricultural work; 71b. for men and 41b. for women for ordinary manual workers; and 4Jlb. and 3j|lb. for sedentary workers and domestics. In addition, all workers will receive 12oz. of coreal fowl other than bread, 21b. meat, lOoz. butter or fats, and Boz. sugar—Aus.-N./j. Cable Assn. .
