PRESENTATION OF. SHIELDS TO NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL.

At the Kcw Plymouth High School's annual sports this'afternoon the Defoncu Minister presented the- International Challenge Shields, both senior and junior, won by the New Plymouth High School last year. The school also won the senior shield in 1915, but one of the supervisors not holding' commissioned rnnk, the team which put up the Empire shooting record was disqualified this your. The school gained fifteenth and forty-sixth place in the senior competition, and twenty-fifth place in the junlOi. Tho team's rifles were destroyed in the school firo last year, and members could not get rifles with which to practice. Sir James Allen slated that on account of tho shipping risk the original silver shields wore in London, but bronze replicas had been sent out, with medals for tho individual members of tho shooting teams.
