SEDITIOUS UTTERANCES
SALUTARY SENTENCE. ■ By Telegraph—Prees Association. Oamat'U, November 7. William Henry Derriok, charged with publishing seditious utterances—"Colonials :ire damned rotters. Three cheers for Germany"—pleaded guilty, and Was sentenced to 22 months' imprisonment in Dunedin Gaol. The Magistrate said the remarks were an added insult, as they were made to a woman who had lost her son at the front recently.
