The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, report on their weekly sale at Carterton: Tho cattle yards were taxed to their utmost,' some of the younger cattle having to be accommodated in the sheen pens. Bidding at auction was spirited for all classes of stock, and while one or two pens were passed at auction we have to report a very successful sale. The Walrarapa Farmers' ' Co-op. Asßn., Ltd., etook report on their Dannevirkp cattlo fair, held on Friday last:--Our entry came forward well up to advertised numbers, included in which wo yarded Borne excellent linos of well-bred Hereford bullocks. Buyers wore present from Manawatu, Wairarapa, and northern Hawke's Bay. Wo disposed of tho bulk of our yarding at the following prices:—46 goodconditioned threo to four-year. Hereford bullocks, at £17 2s. 6d.; 14 four-year forward liullorUh, at £17 ss. 6d.; 30 throe-year Shorthorn-cross steers, at, £15 10s.; 33 two and three-year Horcford steers, at £14 10s.; 37 three-year .coloured steers, at. £14 Is. 6d.; 42 Horeford yearling Bteers, 'at, t,a lis.; 'J Polled Angus yearling heifers, at £9; 20 mixod-sex yearlings (dairy sorts), at £4 llis.; 7 yearling stem, at. £6; 1 twoyear Hereford bull, at 26 guineas. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report;—At Peildiug on Friday wo had a fair entry of sheep and a goo! yarding of cattlo comprising mostly good Quality empty dairy heifers.
