The proceedings will commence at ti a.m., when tho wcllktiinvi: chant coueeruiu" Guy V/awnes will be taken advantage of by the boys of the various districts, who are wiltiuglv foregoing their usual pleasures on this day. lno boys, together with many caricatures of some of our enemies, headed by ttic i'rentham Military Band and Wellingtons Dreadnought, will form a procession through the city at 9.30 from Oourtenay Place, when liberal collections aro expected. The girls of those areas are making a raid on tho city at 9.30, selling flowers and badges at various points. In the afternoon, at 2.30, a sports meeting will commence at the Kilbirnie .Park. The tug-of-wai- for adults is expected to 1)0 very interesting, as many entries have been received from camp teams, police, men of tho Navy, and others. .Special events are being provided for soldiers, sailors, scouts, cadets, and bandsmon.
l'ollowing tlio afternoon function, the evening will commence vriih one of several concerts in the Kilbirnio Hall, for winch excellent talent has been secured, and matters are so arranged that tho audience will not miss anything of special interest on the park grounds. An illuminated warship, with special effects by men of tho Navy, wilt also help to make the proceedings interesting, and this, together with fireworks in variety, will help to complete, what llio committco desires to be "a perfect day." In tho morning, afternoon, and evening olTorts, collection boxes will bo offered the public, and •ill responsible collectors will wour badges, and all boxes hear Iho Mary League labels. Tho evening collectors will lie ladies of the Wellington branch of (he Xvavy League.
