Iho Mayor convened a. public meeting, which was attended by about 100 peonlo to-night to discuss the increase in the cost of living. A resolution was carried viewing with alarm tho continued increase which is a national calamity, making for inefficiency and physical defeneration of the present and future generations of workers, and calling on the Government to make such reductions (lint Iho efficiency of the workers and rising generations mav be assured and maintained.
