COST OF LIVING AND THE WAR
RAILWAY SERVANTS' RESOLUTIONS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, November i. At a very large meeting of the Napier branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants held in the library tonight the following resolutions were passed:—"(l) That this meeting desires to protest against the Government's inability to deal with the cost of living question, and (2) takes strong exception to the discrimination in granting a Is. per day war bonus to married men only, and is not prepared to accept less than the original demand of 2s. per day increase in wages to all railway men in the Second Division of the service from April, 1917."
