(From Our Special Correspondent.) Featherston, November 2. The. Mb. annual meeting d the Wai-nu-apa Automobile Association was held on Thnwday night, Air. Martin Elgar, president, occupying the chair. The following officers were 'elected-.—Pa trjn, Hon. Sir "Walter Buchanan, M.L.C.j president, Mr. Martiu Blgar; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. T. 13. Maunsoll, W. Howard Booth (Carterton), W. Benton (Featherston), and D. Smith ; treasurer, Mr. A. C. Holm; auditor, Mr. J. M. G. M'Kenzie, F.1.A., N.Z.; committee, Messrs. A. M. Broadbent, H. A. Bunny, H, M. B. Trapp C. Bunny (Carterton), A. J. Toogood, H H. Stewart, S. Cuudy, C. J. Cariyon, M. H. Kendall, and Kov. J. G. S. Bartlett (Featherston), W. A. Ilutton and J. White (Greytowa), O. N. C. Pragnell and K. MX S. Stewart (Mastorton). The association has a- membership of 214, and the balance of assets over liabilities is shown to be JBIBO 2s. 2d. The following is an extract from tho annual report:—Protection if Members.—This association bus decided to obtain an authoritative decision by the Supreme Court ad to the legality ol that class of by-law so prevalent throughout New Zealand which fixes the speed limit at from 10 to 12 miles per hour, and other unreasonable limits, Mid accordingly are further contesting a prosecution by the Greytown Borough Counci under 'its by-laws fixing the limit at M miles per hour. Otlpr assosiations are to be asked to contribute towards the expenses. _^________
