SEQUEL TO GISBOHNE GASWOEKS FIE®. By Telegraph—Press Association, i \ Gisborne, November 1.

As a further sequol to the recent gasworks fire, John Sheriff Dods, clerk at tlie gasworks, was arrested by Detective M'Leod to-day and brought before the Magistrate, charged with arson and thefta of various sums belonging to tho company. Detective M'Leod, in applying for a remand, said Dods had confessed to misappropriation, altogether of a very large mm of money. 'A remand till Friday week was granted. Bn.il was allowed, self £500 and two sureties of each. Frank' Parnell, on remand on a charge of arson at the gasworks, will appear at tlie court to-morrow, when a further remand will be asked for.
