CAVALRY OUTPOST ATTACKED
SEVERE FIGHT ON THE EGYPTIAN FRONT. (Rcc. November 1, 9.20 p.m.) London, October 31. An official report from Egypt states: "Three thousand Turks, with twolve guns, attacked our cavalry outposts on Saturday. Though outnumbered and enveloped, tho London Yeomanry gallantly held their position for six hours until reinforced. The casualties wero nndor one hundred. The Turkish losses were heavy."—Aus.-N.Z.
