ALLEGED PURCHASE OF ROYAL HONOURS
A GOVERNMENT PLEDGE. (Rcc. November 2, (Mo a.m.) London, November 1. Following upon speeches in the Houfje of -Lords, in which instances were cited of Royal honours having bcon granted or offered for subscriptions to tho party; funds, Earl Curzon announced on behalf of tho Government that reasons for the bestowal of honours would be definitely stated in future; also that tho Prime Minister, in recommending anyone tor an honour, would 6atisfy himself that no money transaction was connected there-with,—Aue.-N.Z.
