— -♦ ■ RESIGNS HIS SEAT. Mr. P. C. Webb, member for Grey, who is going into camp at the end of the year, has tendered his resignation as a member of the House of Representatives to Mr. Speaker. His letter of resigns, tion runs:— To the Hon. the Speaker of the Houss of Representatives. Sir,—l beg to tender my resignation as a member of tho House of Representatives, to take effect as from one week after the close of the present session. I . take this step because it is abundantly clear from the nature of the petitions and telegrams received from every part. of iny electorate and from the gold and, coal miners throughout New Zealand'! that the general interests of the sleotor- j ' ate and the Special interests should not ! be unrepresented in Parliament—Yours faithfully, P.
